DEFINITION:
This is a sub-index of the Commitment to Development Index (CDI), which ranks rich countries’ policies is terms of how beneficial they are to the world’s five billion poorest people. The migration sub-index is based on net-inflows of migrants from developing countries, openness to students from those countries and aid offered to refugees and asylum seekers.
