DEFINITION:
Literacy gender parity rate of 15-24 year olds in each country. This number is achieved by dividing the total amount of females who are literate by the total amount of males who are literate. Numbers below 1 mean that more males are literate, while numbers over 1 indicate that more females are literate, with the difference in the numbers indicating to what extent this is true. For instance, in Chad (with a parity rate of .42%) a substantial amount of more males are literate than females. These numbers are only for 15-24 year olds.
