Definitions

  • Canada: Country of birth of Canadian residents (number of residents).
  • Canada (permanent residents admitted in 2012): Amount of permanent Canadian resident from each country. Canadian permanent residents are not citizens, but are allowed to stay in the country indefinitely.
  • Canada (permanent residents admitted in 2012) per million people: Amount of permanent Canadian resident from each country. Canadian permanent residents are not citizens, but are allowed to stay in the country indefinitely. Figures expressed per million people for the same year.
  • Ghana: Country of origin of Ghana’s foreign born population (number of residents by country of origin).
