India - CO2 Emissions Intensity

Since 2014, India CO2 Emissions Intensity fell by 2.8% year on year. With 0.27 Kilograms Per Unit of GDP in 2019, the country was ranked number 35 comparing other countries in CO2 Emissions Intensity. India is overtaken by Zimbabwe, which was number 34 with 0.27 Kilograms Per Unit of GDP and is followed by Estonia with 0.26 Kilograms Per Unit of GDP. Turkmenistan topped the ranking with 0.71 Kilograms Per Unit of GDP in 2019, a fall of 5.8% compared to 2018. Syria, South Africa and Mongolia respectively ranked number 2, 3 and 4 in this ranking. Laos witnessed the best average annual growth at +33.4% per year, while Democratic Republic of the Congo witnessed the worst performance at -18% per year.
